About Us

The Flower Cottage is owned by Susette Prins and began its business in 1994. It is an innovative and well known florist in Plein Street, Stellenbosch.

We supply a wide variety of fresh flowers and plants every day. Our clients are welcome to choose their own flowers and we will put it together, whether it is a bouquet or in a suitable container, while they wait. The style of our flower creations, are more relaxed and natural looking, we love to include succulents and plants in our floral arrangements. We cater for the client who is looking for a unique floral presentation.

The Flower Cottage offers a wide range of flower arrangements and we are well known for our passion for flowers, professionalism, reliability and genuine attention to every detail. We ensure an elegant event at reasonable costs, whether it is a wedding, anniversary, birthday, corporate function or other special occasion.

At the Flower Cottage there is also a wide selection of flower vases, ribbons, tissue paper, cellophane, oasis, moss, candle holders and candles, soft toys, gift cards, and balloons. The Flower Cottage is also the stockist of olive products from the Het Vlock Kasteel Estate. The Flower Cottage also stocks dried proteas that are already packaged for the export market for discerning tourists, who wants to take a little bit of the Western Cape flora home.

Our demanding standards are: Freshness, Workmanship, Presentation, Value for Money and Efficiency in order handling and delivery. We at Flower Cottage believe that this should provide you with a superior experience every time. If we fail to live up to these commitments, please let us know and allow us to replace or refund you flower order.

We have two qualified florists, a front shop manager, 2 drivers and 2 delivery vehicles. We deliver to Stellenbosch, neighbouring towns in the Winelands and surrounding wine estates.

We love to compete against other florists and the past four years Flower Cottage succeeded in winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall places in the Western Cape region’s Floral Association.

With my friendly staff we give our clients confidence from the first moment they walk into the shop and when they walk out of the shop they are part of the Flower Cottage family.

Tourists and local clients love to pop in to enjoy what floral creations we create on a daily basis.
